Reiki students need a high level of support throughout their training and healing as Reiki brings up a whole bunch of issues which need healing and cleansing from the student. If we walk away from our students at this vulnerable and invaluable time, then I believe there will be thousands of students around the world who are not valuing what they have received and do not have basic skills with how to deal with the emotional upheaval Reiki can place upon the people they treat. This is like teaching a child how to walk and then letting go of its hand after only one day of tutoring. I bet that the child will crawl around for ten times as long without guidance.

The Usui Shiki Ryoho (the Usui System of Natural Healing) – or Reiki for short, i feel was never meant to be passed in a “One Day” course, but should be passed on to a student (in my opinion) over a minimum period of 6 months (1st degree), next 6 Months (2nd Degree) and 12 Months (Master Level)
