What is A Tarot Reading?

A Tarot Reading is when a person who has worked and trained with the Tarot Cards (Reader) does a 'Reading' for someone who seeks insight, help and guidance with the different aspects and situations in their life (Seeker).

A Tarot Reading can be relevant to different things depending on what the 'seeker' wants from the session. Tarot can be used for :

• Divination (Insight into future possibilities or situations)
• Counselling (Llistening and giving an outside non-biased opinion is often all that is needed)
• Affirmation (Positive Re-inforcement into the given situation)
• Meditation (Tarot cards can give us specific meditations, to help focus and relax the mind)

Cards are usually taken by the seeker and interpreted by the reader using one of a hundred different layouts available. Many readers will have a favourite layout which gives the cards certain meanings when placed in the a certain position. The position where the cards fall upon the layout will give certain meanings to the card/position combination
