How Does Massage Work?

Massage Works by increasing blood circulation throughout the body's organs and tissues thus helping with the removal of the toxins.The masseuses different techniques and strokes to aid in the drainage of the clients lymph glands and alleviate pain and stiffness from the muscles.

Massage is possibly one of the oldest forms of healing that comes naturally to most of the animal kingdom. If I hurt my elbow, I instinctively rub it. If an animal hurts a leg it licks or rubs it. We all at some point in our life have "rubbed something better". Touch and massage are some of our most basic instincts and therefore I believe have the greatest benefit in healing both physically and psychologically.

The whole process of having a massage is therapeutic and healing, as just by being pampered and relaxed for an hour removes stress and therefore relieves tension held in the muscles, whilst the movement of the hands on the skin wake up the sensory receptors in areas of the body that have felt "cut off" giving tremendous pain relief.
